Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively co-starred in the film It End’s With Us.
But when it comes to the ugly and unfortunate feud between these former colleagues?
Well. That is just the beginning.
As you may have heard by now, Lively filed a sexual harassment lawsuit against Baldoni last week.
In these legal papers, Lively accused Baldoni of launching a smear campaign to “destroy” her reputation, while also claiming that Baldoni created a hostile work environment on the set of the aforementioned book adaptation.
Specifically, the documents allege that the actor caused Lively “severe emotional distress” as a result of his behavior… which included “showing Blake nude videos or pictures of women”, as well as Baldoni’s past “obscene Discussion of “literary addiction” or “sex” was also included. Victory.”
In a meeting that included Lively, husband Ryan Reynolds, Baldoni, and others involved in the project, Baldoni was told to make “no further mention of the genitals of the cast and crew, no further inquiries about Blake’s weight, and Blake No further mention was made of his deceased father.” ,
We previously heard that Baldoni fattened Lively on set, as the movie was being shot shortly after her birth.
Meanwhile, Baldoni’s attorney Brian Friedman has now hit back at Lively’s disturbing allegations, according to The New York Times.
“It is shameful that Ms. Lively and her representatives would make such serious and patently false allegations against Mr. Baldoni, Wayfarer Studios, and its representatives,” Friedman said in a statement.
Baldoni’s attorney described Lively’s allegations in the complaint as “another desperate attempt to ‘fix’ her negative reputation, which stemmed from her own comments and actions during the film’s campaign; interviews and press activities that were not made public.” , viewed in real time and unedited, allowing the Internet to generate its own views and opinions.
Lively and Baldoni did not promote It End’s With Us together in any way – no interviews, no photo shoots – leading to rampant speculation over what happened between them this summer.
Baldoni continued through his legal team:
“These claims are completely false, defamatory and malicious with the intention of intentionally hurting the public and repeating a narrative in the media.”
The lawyer said Wayfarer Studios “decided to proactively hire a crisis manager in advance of the film’s marketing campaign” allegedly due to “numerous demands and threats made by Ms. Lively during production, including not being allowed on set.” Threats were also included to not promote the film if their demands were not met, which would ultimately result in the film getting killed during its release.
It’s pretty sure that Baldoni and Lively won’t be starring in the It End’s With Us sequel, right?
In her statement to The New York Times, Lively said the following:
“I hope that my legal action will help lift the curtain on these horrific retaliatory tactics to harm people who speak out about misconduct and help protect those who may be targeted.”
We have a feeling we’ll hear a lot more about this in the coming days, weeks and months.
