“Just to confirm” – Journalist makes incredible Jude Bellingham claim Liverpool fans will absolutely love

Renowned Norwegian journalist Jan Aage Fjortoft has confirmed that Liverpool have made an offer for Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham.

The 19-year-old Bellingham is expected to be the most coveted player in the upcoming summer transfer window. He is wanted by the main European heavyweights, including the Merseysiders, Manchester City and Real Madrid.

Caught Offside reports that Liverpool made an offer of around €90m for Bellingham on Tuesday (April 11). Fjortoft has contacts with Bundesliga clubs and has confirmed that the Reds have signed the English teenager. He tweeted:

“Re: Jude Bellingham. Just to confirm today’s report. Liverpool have sent an offer to Dortmund! Roulette is open.”

The news will excite Reds fans as Jurgen Klopp’s team looks to win the race for Bellingham. The English midfielder has enjoyed an excellent season, scoring ten goals and providing seven assists in 37 games in all competitions. He too has captained BvB four times, making him the youngest captain in Bundesliga history.

Liverpool’s midfield is long overdue for a refresh, with the likes of Jordan Henderson and James Milner in the twilight of their careers. It will also be a big blow if the Anfield giants avoid interest from Manchester City and Madrid.

Klopp’s men contemplate the possibility of not playing next season in the UEFA Champions League. They are eighth in the league, 12 points behind the top four with nine games remaining.

Liverpool staged an impressive comeback to draw 2-2 with Premier League leaders Arsenal on Sunday (April 9). They got a remarkable 21 shots to the Gunners’ nine and could have walked away with all three points.

Gakpo reacted to the draw against Arsenal saying it is a step in the right direction, telling Voetbal Primeur:

“This is a step in the right direction. Now it’s up to us to continue this. We have to keep up the intensity and make sure we get even more points. We have to play every game like the second half against Arsenal.”

The Dutch attacker went on to insist that he believes the Merseysiders will end the season on a high as they seek European qualification:

“You can’t start anything without faith. I certainly believe in that (European qualifying). We all still believe in that, and that’s our goal.”

The Reds will be in action next Monday (April 17) when they travel to Elland Road to take on Leeds United in the Premier League. They will be eager to close the gap to the top four.
