Jenelle Evans does not deny beating her boyfriend

Jenelle Evans swears she’s not violent.

At least not in recent times.

The often-controversial reality star gave a statement to Celebuzz late last week in which she tried to downplay an apparent incident that happened over the summer between her and boyfriend August Keen.

In case you missed it, Keane called 911 in August and told the operator — according to our friends at Ashley’s Reality Roundup — that Evans had been hitting on her “all night long,” and that he’d had eight to 12 drinks. She was drunk after that. Have been drinking for the last several hours.

Keane said that, in general, his girlfriend “smokes a lot of marijuana and drinks a lot of alcohol.”

Evans can be heard yelling in the background of the call, which reportedly took place after she and Keane returned from a pool party.

(Remember, Jenelle moved to Las Vegas from North Carolina earlier this year.)

“I’m trying to get away but she keeps following me,” Keane says on this 911 call. “I just want to get out of the house safely.”

Police eventually arrived at August’s residence, but decided not to press charges.

In a subsequent Instagram Story, Keane tried to walk back his allegations.

“No, I was not killed. “I have zero tolerance for violence and will not stand for any DV situation,” he told followers.

“It was not my intention to get any of us into trouble,” he wrote. “On the contrary. I greatly respect and love [Jenelle] too much.”

Evans, who left her abusive relationship in March, told Celebuzz the following over the weekend:

“August and I have been best friends for many years. We have argued less than 5 times within 7-8 years. Our bond is stronger than a bad night.”

We can’t help but notice the lack of any rebuttal here when it comes to Keane’s original allegations.

Evans simply said in the new message, “That night is now long behind us and we are just focused on the possibilities of the future.”

Earlier, through his social media statement, Keane had said that everything has been blown out of proportion:

“We had a good time at a friend’s event, at the end of the night we got into an Uber, on the way to her house we had a falling out. I wanted to be taken out with some of my stuff, I don’t like alcohol as it can make things worse in hot moments.’

Keane said he was only referring to “anxiety” medication when he referred to the pills on the call and concluded:

“And for your information, there were no children around at any time. I think if the police had noticed something wrong, they would have taken action there.”
