Janelle Brown’s weight loss journey has been inspiring, encouraging, and at times, heartbreaking.

The reality show star rose to fame as one of Kody Brown’s original three wives on the TLC show, sister Wives.

For years, viewers have watched her struggle not only with living in a pluralistic family, but also with her own self-image.

Today, she has gotten rid of Cody…and an impressive 100 pounds of weight as well!

But how did she get here? And how have recent events affected her life and health journey? Let’s discuss it.

Janelle and the early years of ‘Sister Wives’

Janelle spent decades of her life married to Kody Brown, much of which was played out for viewers on the hit TLC show. sister Wives.

From the start, it was clear that Jenelle was struggling with her self-esteem as well as her physical health. In a Season 3 episode where Jenelle was shown going to the gym with Meri, Christine, and Robyn, she described the outing as a “terrible, unpleasant” experience.

Janelle Brown got serious about weight loss — and started a business

Over the following years, Janelle began testing the waters with meal planning and dietary supplements.

“Say goodbye to sugar cravings, exhaustion, anxiety, poor sleep, low energy and so much more,” Janelle shared via social media about following her health and happiness plan with her life.

She also started a YouTube series where fans could follow her progress and see what kind of exercises she was doing to lose weight.

With her business background, it was no surprise when Janelle decided to leverage her wellness journey by becoming a certified health coach through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. She launched a service called Striving with Janelle, which allows clients to book coaching sessions. sister Wives star.

He also launched a partnership with supplements and vitamin company Plexus through social media.

His secret to a 100-pound weight loss: It’s a 7 step process

By 2022, Janelle was happy to share before-and-after photos of her progress, as well as some philosophies. The wisdom she gained helped her lose nearly 100 pounds in a few years, as well as make some other major changes in her life.

“7 things I wish I knew sooner,” she wrote in her list posted on social media in April 2023.

How is Janelle now?

Though physical health is always incredibly important, in 2024, Janelle is focusing even more on her mental health, and for good reason.

In addition to starting her new life away from Kody, Janelle suffered a huge setback. Her oldest son, Garrison, died by suicide in March.

From that moment on, she has been on a difficult journey to rebuild her life. This has included reconnecting with her other children, traveling, and moving to a new location in North Carolina.
