Janelle Brown has taken a step she never wanted to take:
The Sister Wives star has listed son Garrison’s Flagstaff, Arizona home for sale.
According to the official listing, the property was sold to Garrison in 2021 for $329,000 and now his mother is asking for $425,000. It has four bedrooms and two full bathrooms and is 1,400 square feet in size.
Unfortunately, Garrison committed suicide in March.
The local coroner ruled Brown’s death a suicide after determining that the 25-year-old had died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
“This season of Sister Wives will begin filming in late 2022,” read a title card at the beginning of this latest Sister Wives season premiere.
It said: “On March 5, 2024, Kodi [Brown] And Janelle’s son, Garrison, passed away. He was very much loved and will be greatly missed.”
Days before the TLC reality show returns with new episodes, Janelle opened up to People magazine about how horrified she was when she found out what happened to her baby.
“We had absolutely no idea that he was in that place,” Jenelle told People this month, adding that “substance abuse” may have likely played a role in his mental state before his death. “But he never expressed any kind of overtly sad emotions.”
In fact, according to the autopsy report, Garrison had a very high blood alcohol level at the time of his suicide.
His roommates also told local police that he had been drinking heavily at the time.
Garrison admitted to having suicidal tendencies in a text message the night before he died … prompting Janelle to ask son Gabe to check on his brother.
Gabe did so and found his brother’s dead body.
“He was so fun and so happy,” Jenelle also told the aforementioned outlet about what her son looked like right before his death. “He had a career that he was excited about. He had his own life, he had friends.”
Janelle didn’t see this tragedy coming.
“It was a real shock. We never expected this,” she said several days ago.
Kody Brown shot himself after he was separated from Garrison.
But the father of 17 spoke to People to promote the new Sister Wives season and told the publication:
“The only regret is taking advantage of the time.
“I want to go to dinner again. I want to sit down. I want to drink beer. I want to drink [Garrison] He would try to make me laugh because that’s just the way he was.
“The only regret is that, oh my god, I would do this more often.”
