Janelle Brown is trying to turn lemons into lemonade.
Or, to be more specific, we assume:
Janelle Brown is trying to turn the pain of the end of her marriage into profit. and we are so Here for it.
On Tuesday, the veteran Sister Wives cast member surprised Instagram followers by revealing via her Story that she’s starting a new business.
The business is a series of T-shirts titled “Janell Says” and what the reality star revealed this week is aimed at cheeky talking points.
Hilarious and amazing?
They’re also apparently taking direct aim at ex-husband Kody Brown.
“As you know, I’ve always believed in approaching life with a sense of humor and not taking myself too seriously,” Jenelle told fans of these costume pieces. “That’s where the idea for my new shop came from – something that’s a little cheeky, full of personality, and just plain fun.”
There are three versions of these shirts available.
one reads Wait, I’ll take a list of the things that bother me about you,
the other reads I think I forgot the memo,
A third reads Teflon queen. I’m no longer blaming myself for your mistake,
These are all things that Cody has said about Janelle or are references to things that Cody has said about Janelle.
“I wanted to create a space where we could celebrate the ups and downs of life with a wink and a smile, and what better way than through a shirt?” Janelle added.
“Whether it’s a funny saying or a little reminder to keep going. let’s have some fun!”
Kody’s toxic comments and attitude were present when he called Jenelle the “Teflon Queen” in Season 16, blaming her for not following his coronavirus (COVID-19) rules.
He’s so sweet, you know?
Janelle confirmed in late 2022 that she had finally walked away from her spiritual marriage.
She has since called him self-absorbed and basically horrible and we’re so proud of Brown for finding her voice. And we are not alone in this sentiment.
“This is the Sister Wives closet I’ve been waiting for,” one Reddit user wrote in the wake of Jenelle’s T-shirt announcement, with another writing:
“I can’t wait to have a shirt that says, ‘I choose kids and dogs.’ Watch it perform better in a single day [Robyn’s business] My Sister Wife’s Closet completed the work in ten years.”
