Jackson turns 20 in May 2024. Half a year later, she debuted on Instagram on November 8.
As you can see in the photo below – the only photo he had for several weeks – he was eager to make his mark.
She posted what might have been the Duggar version of a “thirst trap.” Jackson worse than a colored shirt, condemnably Tight jeans, and a pose that may have been intended to make him look casual and manly.

It’s clear that some of her friends were eager to see Jackson “finally” get an Instagram account. However, he needs to know why his family’s strict rules prevented him from doing this at a normal age.
Everything about the Duggar cult lifestyle is aimed at enforcing a hierarchy of control. Exposure to different people and ideas — from attending any kind of actual school to making casual connections on social media — can jeopardize that system.

While the girls in the Duggar family don’t usually have their own social media until after they’ve courted or married, Jason Duggar had an Instagram account for about three years before announcing his courtship.
These strict rules seem much less strict for boys. The fundamentalist creed holds gender paramount in the social hierarchy, and while patriarchy hurts everyone, girls get the short end of things.
Jackson getting his own Instagram nearly six months before he’s (legally) old enough to drink alcohol is a big deal for the Duggars. But it wouldn’t be any less surprising if he had some news to share.

Reportedly, Jackson went to Alert Academy, a terrifying IBLP facility with ominous boot camp vibes. This is the kind of facility the Duggars might send one of their kids to instead of for counseling, or simply for questioning a cult rule.
If Jackson Duggar is in a courtship, he may need to come clean about the Academy alert. His new bride needs to know that he is not a monster like his eldest brother.
