Zac Bryan has become the latest celebrity to face ire from Taylor Swift fans over a misplaced tweet.
And, as with many controversies involving Taylor, this story also involves Kanye West.
The trouble started when Jack made the mistake of tweeting after drinking.
Jack Bryan’s scathing response to Taylor Swift tweets
The rising country star started off by innocently stating his preference for the Philadelphia Eagles over Travis Kelsey’s Kansas City Chiefs.
“Eagles > Chiefs,” Jack wrote, our weeklyHe then got a little more personal, tweeting, “Kanye > Taylor… who’s with me.”
Obviously, this is a sensitive subject, as Taylor has had a long relationship with Kanye.
Swifty’s Sound Off
It’s no surprise that Jack immediately felt the wrath of Taylor’s loyal fans.
Possibly as a result of this scathing reaction, he later clarified that he had no ill will with the world’s most famous musician.
“Guys, I love Taylor,” Jack explained.
,[I] Was listening to TTPD last night and ‘Thank You Aimee’ came on and I drunkenly tweeted about Kanye. If anyone took this seriously please know that I love both artists so much and think we’re in a beautiful time of music.”
The song is believed to be a diss track aimed at Kanye’s ex-wife Kim Kardashian. That’s probably why the feud was on Jack’s mind.
He elaborated on the matter in a story on Instagram last night.
,
“For the record guys, I was not coming for Taylor that night. I was drunkenly comparing two records and it came out wrong,” Jack wrote.
“I know there’s a lot of stuff going on around Ye and I was just talking about the music. I love Taylor’s music and I pray you guys know that I’m human too and often tweet stupid things.”
Jack breaks up with his ex
Zac went on to explain that he’s taking a break from X (formerly Twitter) because it “hurts me too much,” adding, “I’m sorry to all the Taylor fans I’ve offended or disappointed. Love you guys and I’m trying my best!”
Jack later posted a second story in which he explained that he was “going through a tough time” and that he may have “pretended a bit” in his initial post.
“I respect [Taylor] “I’m so driven as a musician that the last thing I want is for people to think I don’t appreciate and love the work they do for music,” he wrote.
“Don’t drink and tweet. Don’t drink and tweet!!”
Whatever your feelings are towards Jack or the situation, of course, we can all agree that this is good advice!
