Is Jason Kelce retiring after Super Bowl LVII? Eagles star gives verdict on NFL future

Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce is set to play in his second career Super Bowl and has been instrumental in his team’s success this season. Kelce’s presence has made it easier to execute the Eagles’ running game, and he is arguably the best at his position.

Despite his success this season, retirement talks have continued to surround Kelce. There were rumors that he would retire after last season, but he played again. Kelce recently provided an update on the talks surrounding his possible retirement.

According to ESPN, this is what Jason Kelce had to say:

“It’s getting closer and closer every day. I’m just trying to enjoy this moment now and attack it when it comes.”

Keelce added:

“Of everything they have told me when you know it’s time to retire or not, you only know when you know, and it’s going to be when you don’t want to play football anymore, and I don’t think winning this game is going to determine if I want to continue playing football or not”.

Jason Kelce is expected to make an announcement about his future in the NFL shortly after the Super Bowl. Today he will face his brother Travis Kelce in the Super Bowl in search of his second ring.

The Philadelphia Eagles have the best offensive line in the NFL and they will have to give it their all against the Kansas City Chiefs. Chris Jones and Frank Clark are more than capable of causing Jalen Hurts trouble if not handled properly.

The Eagles already have Cam Jurgens, whom they selected in the second round of the 2022 NFL draft, to replace Kelce if he retires after the Super Bowl.
