Ice Spice has left fans stunned after a yearbook photo of herself went viral online. Recently, a photo of the Munch (feeling you) singer sporting straight black hair appeared on the Internet. Netizens were surprised to learn that the musician was not always a redhead.
On February 8, a photo that appears to have been taken from a high school yearbook showing the singer, whose real name is Isis Gaston, went viral online. The singer sported straight black hair and a big smile. Her government’s name also appeared below the photo.
Netizens were baffled as Ice Spice has admitted in the past that she hasn’t had any physical changes, including surgeries since she became a singer. She said in an interview:
“My hair is very short, it doesn’t fall down my back. My whole body is natural, although some people try to accuse me of surgery. The only fake thing is my teeth, which they had me redone. And my nails, I’ll have false nails.”
She also explained that she initially used to wear wigs until she decided to embrace her natural hair. The singer was referring to her signature short ginger look. icespice said:
“I didn’t show my natural hair until I launched No Clarity in November 2021. I realized that it looked so much better than all my previous work. I don’t think my fanbase was ready for me to wear heels and a lace front. I think they like that I’m being myself.”
