Blockchain projects continue experiencing failure rates in excess of 90%, and it seems that with each passing moment, more and more “successful” companies are adding their underperforming blockchain project to the graveyard. One of the most recent victims of blockchain failures was Moller-Maersk, which recently announced the termination of its highly publicized TradeLens offer — a global trading platform based on IBM (NYSE:) Blockchain technology.

These failures, however, were entirely predictable and, in many cases, would be avoidable if companies took a closer look at certain lessons in the diffusion of innovation.
