Former Liverpool star Stan Collymore has made an emphatic claim about the future of Borussia Dortmund star Jude Bellingham. The Englishman believes his compatriot will initially join Manchester City before moving to Real Madrid in a surprising double transfer deal with Erling Haaland.

Klopp on Bellingham: “Prices change over time. We have to make decisions for the club. We can’t get mad if we don’t get someone.” 🔴 #LFC“We have to order it. It’s not fun watching other teams get stronger, but that’s life. We work with that”, via @AnfieldWatch. https://t.co/bt1UMkvJvF

Jude Bellingham has attracted the interest of several top teams including Real Madrid, Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea. The Merseyside side seemed favorites to sign the midfielder, given his close relationship with Jordan Henderson and Trent Alexander-Arnold.

However, the club have now withdrawn from the race to sign Jude Bellingham as they consider the midfielder’s £130m valuation too expensive (via Fabrizio Romano).

Collymore has given his prediction of where the Dortmund star will end up this summer. The Englishman told Caught Offside:

“I think he will end up at Manchester City in the summer and then four or five seasons from now he, along with Erling Haaland, will go to Real Madrid as a potential double world transfer deal. City do notoriously well when it comes to players who have a known fee or release clause. They take the price and pay it and make the player a great salary offer. It’s what they’re best at, so I hope to see a similar scenario between Citizens, Borussia Dortmund and Bellingham at the end of the season.”

added:

“And if you’re Bellingham, why wouldn’t you want to go to the Etihad? – Especially if Pep Guardiola can win the Premier League or the Champions League or, dare I say it, the treble? – Adding quality to the squad in time for next season would make them heavy favorites to defend those trophies, so from a player perspective, it’s a no-brainer.”

Where the 19-year-old star will end up this summer remains to be seen.

‘Feels like a timid surrender’: Jamie Carragher reacts to Liverpool’s cooled interest in Jude Bellingham

Liverpool icon Jamie Carragher has set his sights on his former club after they ended their search for Jude Bellingham. The retired defender criticized the Reds for their transfer business, claiming it was negligent and poorly planned.

Liverpool pull out of the race for Jude Bellingham because he is too expensive and more work is needed for the team. It was always going to cost £120m + Liverpool needed a midfielder last summer and two this summer. These facts should not come as a surprise! telegraph.co.uk/football/2023/…

Carragher wrote in his column for The Telegraph:

“Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp built a level of confidence regarding transfers that was the envy of Europe. That confidence was gone with the news that they will not be chasing Jude Bellingham this summer. Everything pointed to waiting for Bellingham. The fans were sold them the dream that the next Steven Gerrard was heading to Anfield.”

added:

“After a year of working on a deal, it seems like a timid surrender to step aside and allow Manchester City and Real Madrid to fight. There are times when a club like Liverpool have to show some muscle and “reminding their opponents that they can and will be there to compete on and off the pitch. Retiring because too much work is now needed across the whole team smacks of weakness, neglect and poor planning.”

Jude Bellingham has recorded 37 appearances in all competitions for Dortmund this season, scoring 10 goals and providing seven assists.
