Actress Hunter King is every Swiftie’s dream come true.
His new film, Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love StoryPremieres November 30 on Hallmark Channel.
And as you might have guessed, it’s inspired by the romance between Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce.
Hunter King says upcoming film pays homage to Taylor Swift
The film may not have the official endorsement of Taylor and Travis, but fans will definitely recognize that it was conceived with the A-list couple in mind.
There’s even a cameo from Donna Kelsey!
Hunter plays a lifelong Chiefs fan who wants to win the team’s Fan of the Year contest. Judge? The Chiefs’ director of fan engagement (and Hunter’s new love interest), played by Hallmark veteran Tyler Hines.
“As the pair spend time together, it’s clear there’s a spark between them, but when her grandfather’s vintage Chiefs good-luck winter hat goes missing, Alana begins to wonder about fate, destiny, whatever she Manti begins to doubt him and even questions her future with Derick — unless, that is, a little Christmas magic can throw a Hail Mary,” a synopsis from Hallmark. A heady story that anyone can enjoy
Hunter explains, “Whether you’re a Chiefs fan or not, I think you’ll be able to relate to this movie to some extent.” lifestyle,
“I feel like there’s just subtle nods to things [related to] Travis and taylor.
“Taylor’s fans may like, like, [Tyler’s] Last name in the movie. There are certain, like, little Easter eggs, as we call them, that I think would be fun to find.
Tyler said, “I think their love story has inspired the world in so many ways and it’s something that everyone supports.”
“I think there is a feeling inside that is definitely captured in the film. Even though we’re not tackling that story directly, it looks like we’re getting the best of it.
“We’re telling a multi-generational story that feels very specific and invites anyone from any walk of life to join in.”
“I love the script. I loved that it focused on family and tradition. I’m very close to my grandmother, and when I got a chance to read the script and see my character’s relationship with her grandparents, I absolutely loved it,” Hunter adds.
“That was very inspiring to me and felt very true to my life.”
Taylor and Travis’ vacation plans
As far as the real-life couple that inspired the movie, it looks like Taylor and Travis will be spending Thanksgiving apart this year.
They both have busy schedules this time of year, with Taylor finishing his historic Era’s Tour and Travis trying to lead the Chiefs to their third consecutive Super Bowl.
But we are sure that as the holiday season is in full swing, they will be able to make time for each other.
