How Nick Cannon is supporting ex Mariah Carey and kids after family tragedy

Following the tragic news of deaths in Mariah Carey’s family, Nick Cannon is coming to his ex-wife’s aid.

On August 24, the superstar singer lost both her mother and sister on the same day. In the days that followed, her time was usually spent making arrangements for the loved ones left behind.

This is a complicated time for Mariah, as her relationships with both women have been strained, so it’s nice to hear she got some help.

Nick Cannon steps in to help Mariah Carey after family death

Even though it’s been nearly a decade since the two divorced, Nick Cannon still has a lot of love for Mariah Carey.

We dare say that if she had given him the green signal, they would have gotten married all over again just like that.

While they were together, the couple welcomed their beautiful twins, Monroe and Moroccan Scott. Both now 13 years old, the twins were spared the pain of watching their mother grieve for their grandmother and aunt when their father stepped away.

In a post on Nick’s Instagram Story on Monday, August 26, Monroe and Moroccan can be seen spending quality time with their three half-siblings.

Nick, the proud father of a total of 12 kids, surrounded the twins with his family and invited Golden, Zion and Zillion to hang out with the older kids throughout the day.

These five kids actually represent the older kids in Nick’s family.

All of Nick’s other children were born in 2022. Legendary was born in January, Onyx and Rise were born in September (with two different mothers), Beautiful was born in November, and Halo was born in December.

It was a busy year for Nick!

How is Maria?

Though Nick hasn’t written anything about the passing of his former in-laws, Mariah has openly expressed her grief.

I am heartbroken that I lost my mother last weekend. Sadly, in a tragic turn of events, my sister lost her life on the same day,” Maria said in a statement when the news broke.

“I feel so fortunate that I was able to spend the last week with my mother before she passed away.”

The cause of her death is unknown, although it is reported that Maria’s sister Alison had been ill for some time and was hospitalized. However, their mother Patricia did not have any health problems before her passing.

In this time of grief, it’s nice to see that Mariah can trust Nick to be as good a father as he always is. Now she has one less thing to worry about.
