The 2023 Puerto Rico Open ended on Sunday, March 5 with Nicolás Echavarría winning the title. The Colombian golfer bested Akshay Bhatia in the final round to earn a PGA Tour victory at Grand Reserve Golf Club in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico.

With the win, Echavarria took the $684,000 winner’s share of the $3,800,000 purse. In addition to prize money, the golfer also earned approximately 70 Official World Golf Ranking points and 300 FedEx Cup points from the Puerto Rico Open victory.

He ended up improving his world ranking with a victory in the 72-hole stroke-play championship as well. Meanwhile, runner-up Bhatia earned a paycheck of $414,200.

Nate Lashley and Carson Young settled for T3, pocketing $224,200 each. Michael Kim and Wesley Bryan finished fourth and fifth, earning $155,800 and $137,750 respectively.

The 70 golfers who made the 36-hole cut were paid, with the last finisher, Trevor Cone, earning $7,866.

The Puerto Rico Open was the 20th event of the 2022-2023 PGA Tour season.
