Hillary Clinton accuses Elon Musk of threatening to ‘rape’ Taylor Swift

In a recent interview with journalist Kara Swisher, Hillary Clinton accused Elon Musk of threatening to “rape” Taylor Swift.

The accusations stem from comments the Tesla CEO and X owner made in response to Taylor’s endorsement of Kamala Harris.

“Ok Taylor… you win… I will give you a baby and protect your cats with my life,” Musk wrote on the social media platform he purchased in 2022.

Musk’s attempt at humor fails

Taylor referenced JD Vance’s “childless cat lady” tirade in his ad. And it seems Musk’s cat comment was inspired by that.

As far as giving the pop icon “a baby” – the reasoning behind that comment is not as clear and is far more controversial.

In her interview with Swisher, Clinton alleged that Musk’s proposal to “pregnant” Swift was “just another way of saying rape.”

Hillary Clinton targets Elon Musk

“I don’t understand why he would say that. It’s beyond my imagination,” Clinton said.

“Whether it’s Trump or Musk or any of the other so-called masters of the universe in the tech world, misogyny is a part of their worldview, and they’re attracted to toughness, brutality, and machismo.”

Hillary made an unpleasant comparison between Taylor and Musk’s careers.

“Here’s Taylor Swift, a self-made billionaire who brings joy to people, teaches life lessons, especially to girls and women. They can’t stand this,” Clinton said.

Clinton went on to say that Taylor’s endorsement of Harris had “incited” Trump and his supporters.

“I mean, if this had happened before the debate, it would have dominated the debate,” he said.

“The fact that it happened right after the debate and that it added to Kamala’s momentum must have excited them all,” Clinton said.

A series of controversies

Clinton’s allegations follow a separate controversy. Earlier this week, Musk tweeted a now-deleted comment about Harris that he later dismissed as a joke.

In the wake of the assassination attempt on Donald Trump on Sunday, Musk tweeted:

“No one is trying to kill Biden/Kamala.”

Obviously, this tweet did not go down well with people. In fact, the hashtag “#DeportElon” began trending as a result of Musk’s comment.

He later deleted the tweet and explained it was an attempt at humor:

“Well, one lesson I’ve learned is that just because I said something in front of a group and they laughed, doesn’t mean it will be as funny as a post on X,” he wrote.

It’s hard to imagine how the current election cycle could get more absurd. But we have a feeling the next six weeks will take this country to places we never imagined.
