Cody Brown has a well-documented and self-admitted poor relationship with his sons.
But the patriarch of the Sister Wives also wants to investigate how things stand between him and a certain daughter.
Over the past several weeks, Gwendlyn Brown — Christine and Cody’s 21-year-old daughter — has used her YouTube page to call out various members of her polygamous family.
Especially his terrible father.
Earlier, Gwen trashes Cody for loving Robin more than anyone else and not really caring how others feel.
Now, she’s uploaded a new YouTube video in response to footage from Sister Wives Season 17 that shows Mary saying she was staying in her platonic marriage in hopes of reconciliation.
Cody, however?
He said on air that he no longer considered himself married to Mary.
“It’s very unfortunate for my father to see how he and Mary basically have this relationship,” Gwen told viewers.
,[Meri] He does not know. They haven’t had any conversation about this.
“And I think what my mom did with her is so important, because she said, ‘We’re done.’
“She told him to his face that they were over and Cody didn’t do anything.”
This is an accurate description of how things played out between Mary and Cody.
Mary is shown a clip of Cody’s Season 17 face-to-face with Cody, who states that he considers their marriage to be over, and she reacts in shock and despair.
The ex-spouses have since ended their romantic relationship.
Gwendlyn said on YouTube, “It seems completely manipulative to me because he’s basically keeping this information from her and letting her be in this loveless relationship with this false hope.”
Gwen asked what her father had been thinking of late.
“What does he gain by being with all these women? Does he consider them trophies? she thought out loud.
“Does he consider them his way into heaven?
“I don’t understand why he still feels such an overwhelming need to be with them. And I’m glad that the people who needed to get out of that situation got out of that situation.”
As stated above, Cody and Mary are no longer spiritually married.
Janelle Brown also announced her split from Cody during the aforementioned special in December.
