Football expert Gary Lineker has picked Liverpool over Chelsea and Arsenal as the winner of this season’s Premier League title race. The Merseysiders currently look unstoppable in all competitions, having lost just one game all season.
Fans predicted they would suffer a wobble after Jurgen Klopp was replaced by former Feyenoord boss Arne Slot at the start of the season. However, the Dutch tactician has taken the Reds to another level in all competitions.
The Reds currently sit at the top of the Premier League table with 45 points from 18 games. Their closest rival is Nottingham Forest (37), who have surprised everyone with their brilliant form under Nuno Espirito Santo. Arsenal (36) and Chelsea (35) make up the top four.
Chelsea were expected to struggle this season under newly appointed Enzo Maresca, but he surprised everyone with his performances. They have only lost three games in the Premier League and have won all six games in the Conference League so far. Meanwhile, Arsenal have suffered several injury setbacks this season, but are in the title race.

Former English midfielder and football expert Owen Hargreaves recently weighed in on the Premier League title race between Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool. During a discussion about Premier League productions (h/t Empire of the Kop), the former Manchester City player has opened up to the title race.
According to him, Chelsea and Arsenal will not catch up with the Reds in the Premier League standings this season. He explained:
“The most important thing for me is the reason why Arsenal and Chelsea won’t win, they don’t have the experience of Liverpool. Alisson, Van Dijk, Trent, Robertson, Salah… you have five guys who have been there and done it. , like Mo said for years.”
“This Liverpool team is perfectly prepared, they have a real mix of young players, a brilliant three-pointer but, in reality, as they can play differently in each game, it will be difficult to stop them.”
The Reds last won the Premier League in the 2019-20 season under Jurgen Klopp.
