“What is everyone’s opinion on this?” the Redditor asked. “I’m so sad to see that she’s been ‘erased’ from the group photo. It makes me sad.”
Many commenters reacted to this. Several users of the social media platform urged other fans not to jump to conclusions in the case of family photos in which Garrison Brown does not appear. Absent does not always mean “erased.”

“Could be wrong but I think he was training when these photos were taken. Payton and Logan aren’t even there. These Flagstaff photos aren’t a professional let’s all get together thing. I think it was more of a “well, we’re all here” thing,” one commenter suggested.

“I thought so but when I searched for the photo I found out she’s not in it. I mean the photos shot for this 2022 article,” a third Reddit user wrote, linking to CBS8. “Yesterday I found an old article that used a photo of just Janelle’s side of the family but I can’t find it [right now]Garrison still isn’t in it.
There is no “one right way” for a reality television series to cover a tragic death. The nature of the show and the nature of the loss are important. And the wishes of the grieving loved ones are paramount.
TLC has edited a lot of things before. In most cases, this means losing some of the context, pixelating brand logos, or obscuring hate symbols.
However, it would not be a stretch to remove the face of a deceased young adult from family photos. It would be morbid and tasteless – especially if it was not the family’s wish.
Thankfully, it seems like this rumor can be easily refuted.
We’re glad to see fans correcting each other. Garrison Brown was not fired sister Wives … He wasn’t in every family photo. Not every member of such a large family would be in every group photo.
