As sister Wives is finally back for another season, many fans are wondering if Garrison Brown’s funeral will be featured in an upcoming episode.
Following the tragic death of Kody and Janelle’s son, a funeral was held in March 2024 so the young man could finally be laid to rest.
Then, a few weeks later, a memorial service for Garrison was held by the National Guard in Las Vegas. The event was followed by the first photos of the family since his passing.
But will fans be able to see more than just photos from this intimate and private service? Will Garrison’s death be depicted on the show in Season 19? The short answer is – it already has.
How Did Garrison Brown of ‘Sister Wives’ Die?
Garrison Brown, son sister Wives Stars Janelle and Kody Brown died by suicide on March 5, 2024.
Lt. Charles M. Hernandez II of the Flagstaff, Arizona Police Department confirmed the cause of death People Magazine.

Kody Brown spoke out on Garrison’s death
“Janelle and I are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our beautiful son, Robert Garrison Brown.”
This was the message Kody posted on his Instagram the day the news of his son’s death broke. The message was a carbon copy of his ex-wife Janelle’s message, which read:
“He was a bright spot in the lives of all who knew him. His loss will leave a void in our lives so large it will leave us breathless. We ask that you please respect our privacy and join us in honoring his memory.”
Sadly, it seems that Cody and Garrison were unable to repair their relationship. In the last message Garrison sent to his family, he hinted at his differences with his family, which worried his mother a lot.
Several months later, a few days before the season premiere sister Wives In Season 19, Kody finally gives an interview about his son’s death.
“The wave of grief that comes with losing my best friend or relative is different than any other wave of grief I’ve ever felt,” Cody said. “It’s different. And it’s different because of the idea that it’s incomprehensible — the future that we lost with him.”

The fact that the family kept the ceremony a secret came as a bit of a surprise to those close to them.

“Everyone was hugging and crying,” the source said. “It was the hardest thing they’ve ever done, but sharing stories about Garrison helped them get through it.”
He confirmed that the entire family attended the funeral and hoped the reunion would be a joyous one for Garrison.
“Everyone hopes Garrison has found the peace he couldn’t find in life,” the source said. “While they are all still numb with grief, they know he would be happy to see the family together again.”
Will Garrison’s funeral be shown on Sister Wives this season?
In the season premiere of Season 19, the episode began with two graphics. The first revealed that the next episode was filmed in late 2022, well before Garrison’s death. The second explained Garrison’s death and how he was “much loved.”
It’s clear that the producers understand that, given the circumstances, fans will be eager to see how the show deals with the aftermath of Garrison’s death.
