Eos Energy Companies (NASDAQ: EOSE) +7.3% in trading on Tuesday after announcing an expansion of its existing deal with Indian Energy, which represents the company’s largest order funded by the California Energy Commission.
The expansion adds 25 MWh of storage to the existing 35. The company said the MWh order for a total project size of 60 MWh is intended to improve grid resilience for the Viejas Band of Kumeyaay Indians.
Eos Energy (EOSE) said the Viejas Enterprise Microgrid installation will include a hybrid of the company’s Gen 2.3 systems, which have already been delivered, and new Eos Z3 Cubes.
Indian Energy, a Native American-owned microgrid developer, and Maada’oozh, a Native American-owned microgrid operations and maintenance provider, worked in partnership with the California Energy Commission to select Eos Z3 technology for the Viejas Enterprise Microgrid.
Eos Energy (EOSE) said it continues to expand Z3 production at its recently commissioned manufacturing line in Pennsylvania.
