Tyson Fury is aiming for an unrivaled level of focus ahead of his rematch with Oleksandr Usyk on December 21. The pair previously met on May 18 in a fight for the undisputed heavyweight title. Fury was defeated for the first time in his career after losing a narrow split decision.
Looking ahead to his rematch, ‘The Gypsy King’ stated that he has not spoken to his wife for three months as part of his preparation plan for the Ukrainian. Fury’s admission caught fans off guard and they speculated that his decision to isolate himself from his family members could backfire.
However, prominent boxing promoter Eddie Hearn believes it could have the desired effect. The Matchroom Boxing president was recently interviewed by iFL TV ahead of Usyk vs. Fury 2, where he discussed the Brit’s comments about not having contact with his wife.

“We’re all different, and when you’ve suffered that loss, maybe he just leaves no stone unturned. He just says, ‘I’m going to put everything into this training camp.’ I feel like when you step into the ring, if you know you’ve done great sacrifices and sometimes horrible sacrifices, do you think that gives you more strength in the fight? I think the answer is yes.

Tyson Fury recently appeared in open training ahead of his anticipated rematch against Oleksandr Usyk on December 21. Since the former WBC champion already shared an icy preview of what fans can expect from his next fight, he continued in the same vein. during his interview at open training.
Fury did not directly answer any of the interviewer’s questions, instead sharing his intentions for fight night:
“A lot of pain… Hit and damage… A lot of pain… Pain, serious pain… A lot of damage.”
