As you’ve probably heard by now, Jinger Duggar’s memoir has caused some major waves in her family.
Ginger didn’t fit into her parents as much as some readers had expected, but she Did Confirm that he has rejected the more extreme aspects of his belief system.
The 29-year-old blames her former spiritual mentor Bill Gotthard, not Jim Bob and Michelle, for her parents’ more regressive beliefs.
And it seems that by going public with the source of their family woes, Jinger has inspired at least one sibling to strike out on their own.
Earlier this week, YouTuber and blogger Katie Joy revealed that one of Ginger’s brothers spoke to her on the condition of anonymity.
The estranged Duggar son revealed that Jana Duggar moved out of her parents’ home with little fanfare more than two years ago.
However, he added that his eldest sister still lives on their parents’ property.
And while that claim may have gotten the most attention, the source also had some interesting things to say about her relationship with her parents.
Katie Joy wrote on Instagram, “Just saying Jinger Duggar has a brother supporting her speaking out and he’s obviously beeing and getting his way out.”
“The bee is stinging and clawing its way out,” eh?

Joy gives no clues as to the identity of the defector, but she theorizes Jim-Bob as the reason for the mutiny.
“Jim Bob’s family is officially blown up because he chose to save the wrong baby while neglecting to care for his wife and daughters,” she wrote on Instagram.
Yes, Katie believes that in throwing so much support behind Josh amid an endless parade of sex scandals, JB lost the loyalty of his other children.
It’s a sound theory – but it seems that the children simply realized that they no longer had the means to isolate themselves from the world, and following Jim Bob’s archaic beliefs was basically a career launch for them. Will make the impossible yours.
This is a guy who still thinks men and women shouldn’t be in a room together unless they’re married or supervised by a fellow evangelical.
It’s hard to work in an office and follow that rule.
As far as the issue of passion, it seems like it’s still a very sensitive topic among the Duggar men.
Joy wrote in one of her posts about the Duggar insider, “Let’s just say that when I suggested that a Duggar brother help Anna get a divorce lawyer… I was taken aback.”
“He said ‘Anna is a grown woman and can decide for herself’ then quickly changed the subject. I told you, Anna is welcoming herself.”
We think it’s possible that Ana may be wearing out her welcome.
But it’s equally possible that this young Duggar became defensive because she’s beginning to realize that Josh is guilty as hell, and that her family spent decades harboring a sexual predator.
Let’s hope it’s the latter.
