Cryptophishing Attacks Up 40% In One Year: Kaspersky By Cointelegraph




When it comes to cryptocurrency-related cyberattacks, bad actors have apparently reduced their use of traditional financial threats, such as PC and mobile banking malware, and have instead shifted their focus to identity fraud.

Russian cybersecurity and antivirus provider Kaspersky revealed that cryptocurrency phishing attacks saw a 40% year-on-year increase in 2022. The company detected 5,040,520 cryptophishing attacks in the year compared to 3,596,437 in 2021.
