Heartbreaking news from Hollywood this week:
Keller Scott Fornes, star of Great American Family’s County Rescue, has died.
He was 32 years old.
The actor died in Eastland, Texas, according to an obituary published by Lacey Funeral Home, which has now been made public.
His memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, January 11 at the Cowboy Church of Erath County in Stephenville, Texas.
Meanwhile, on Monday, Great American Media confirmed in a statement posted on multiple social media accounts that Fornes is no longer with us.
“We at Great American Media are deeply saddened by the passing of Keller Fornes. He was a special person and talent as an actor, writer and director as well as a singer and musician,” reads the message.
It continues as follows:
“His energy and enthusiasm impressed everyone who worked with him at Great American Media and the cast and crew of County Rescue. Our prayers are with his family and all those he touched.”
As detailed on IMDb, County Rescue is a drama that centers around a paramedic named Dani Miller who must “overcome her recent heartache and the fire chief’s impulsive son and an overqualified newbie.” You have to prove yourself worthy of the job while competing against others.”
Fornes portrayed the character of Griffin on the show – which, based on a press release issued in July, was set to begin production for Season 2 this month.
County Rescue Series head Julia Reilly expressed her condolences over the passing of her colleague, sharing Great American Media’s statement on her Instagram Stories… along with a photo of him.
“Miss you,” Reilly wrote.
Another co-star, Kristin Volette, uploaded several photos from her time on set to Instagram and wrote late Monday:
“In our hearts. Always. Keller Scott Fornes.
“So sorry to hear about this,” American Idol alum Colton Dixon wrote in response to Great American Media’s post.
“We met only briefly during my work at County Rescue, but he was incredibly kind and purposeful in his words. Prayers for his friends and family.”
During his successful career, Fornes has appeared in TV shows such as Found, The Walking Dead, and Genius; With films like The Secrets She Keeps and Project ISISX.
He is survived by his wife, Margie; his parents; And two brothers.
