Collin Gosselin actually attended boot camp. For years his dream was to become a United States Marine.
As we previously reported, that dream was shattered. According to Collin, his mother had him institutionalized as a teenager, which not only took away his childhood, but also cost him the opportunity to serve his country.

Collin Gosselin had to make a new plan once he realized that his goal of joining the United States Marines was put on hold before he was even a teen. He is now attending college in Pennsylvania.
However, he recently told American Sun His busy schedule couldn’t stop him from watching his estranged mother try and fail Special Forces: The World’s Toughest Test,
“I actually saw special forces. I think it’s a pretty neat show,” Colin shared.
“And what was disturbing was to see [Kate] Kind of struggled through it,” Colin Gosselin expressed. Then he added: “And it looks like he had a very hard time on the special forces.”
Displaying undisguised sympathy towards his mother, he added: “You know, still, with everything going on right now, I still feel deeply sorry for her, and how she had to deal with those challenges on that show. “
Collin continued: “Despite my mother, and you know her, her constant efforts to protect her reputation at my expense, and the things she has said about me, and the things she has done to me, I still feel

Colin Gosselin admitted about his horrific childhood, saying, “I think you know the things he’s gone through are very hard and they’ve affected me.”
