Freedom looks good on Christine. Mary, well, she’s still working on it.
As the new season of sister Wives Moving on, the show is finally starting to look like it used to.
By this we mean that the family is no longer in their separate corners. In fact, for the first time in forever, almost every member of the family was together in the same room.
Kody, Robyn, Meri, Christine — and yes, Christine’s husband!
Of course, at the time tonight’s episode was filmed, David Woolley was still Christine’s boyfriend. Still, Kody’s meeting with Christine’s new man was eventful, as was Christine and Meri’s reunion.
Let’s just say there was awkwardness all around – even before Christine got her huge new tattoo on her chest!
Janelle and Meri face off over Coyote Pass
The episode begins with Janelle returning to Flagstaff to see Meri. The latter is in the process of moving into his B&B and vacating his house at Coyote Pass.
This is obviously news to Jenelle, who, as it happens, is eager to talk about how to get her stake in the property back from her mutual ex.
Despite insisting in her confessional that they “don’t hate each other” Meri is indifferent to Janelle.
“We’ve never been very close,” she admits, and calls their sit-down “not a social encounter.” Jenelle agrees, admitting that they have never had a close “one-on-one relationship”. But Janelle thinks Meri deserves to know what’s going on. And so, she became involved in the drama surrounding Coyote Pass.
At first, Mary is surprised to hear Janelle’s side of the story, and actually defends Cody. But as Janelle shares more of the story, she starts to agree that they need to sit down with their ex and work out finances.
In her confessional, Meri stressed that she won’t take sides: not Kody and Robyn and not the “ex-wives club.”
Looking for a home with Christine and David
Elsewhere, Christine and David are starting to look at houses together. Yes, it’s been less than two months and they’ve already been out shopping and house hunting together.
And if you can believe it, they’re still moving on to something more serious!
The pair are looking for a very specific location. She wants a big kitchen with two ovens, he wants a 3-car garage. They are very out of step with each other, especially on the issue that although they want a big house, they do not want a house so big that all of their children live with them.
Speaking of kids, while Janelle is back in North Carolina with Maddie, who is close to giving birth, her kids Gabe and Savannah are on hand to meet David at an important family event: Gwendolyn and Bea’s wedding. Bridal shower.
And this is where the fireworks begin!

The whole family is invited to Gwendolyn’s party, including Meri, Kody, and Robyn. Although Mary gets along with the other two, she tries to keep herself apart from them.
She does this by pointing towards Christine and David. It’s been over a year since they last saw each other, and definitely the first time they’ve seen each other since Meri and Kody broke up.
The shocking thing is that the women hug and whisper “I love you” into each other’s ears. It’s a very tender moment indeed. The pair seem so comfortable together that Mary even makes fun of his catfishing scandal.
But in her confessional, Meri admits that she still “isn’t comfortable talking openly with Christine.” She also clearly doesn’t agree with being divorced as much as Christine does.

Finally, the big moment arrives: Christine introduces David to Cody and Robin. It’s incredibly awkward and their conversation goes on for a very long time, dominated by sharp silences and awkward laughter.
But as Aspin points out, when Christine and David get married, this new man will be a more present father figure in Truly’s life than her father, Cody. The girl’s father has the right to meet a new man throughout his life.
In his confessional, Kody shared that Robyn was worried about David being a “hunk” and was somewhat jealous.
But overall, the couple manages to power through, and Christine celebrates the moment by getting a large tattoo around her right breast. She shares a glimpse of the Celtic symbol for “new beginnings” on her chest to the camera. David has found a match and it’s another step towards their romance becoming a reality.
