It involved some pain, struggle, and challenging times, which made him think about what life ultimately had in store for him.
But finally? For Sister Wives star Christine Brown?
It was all worthwhile.
Earlier this week, as you may have seen, Brown reflected on how far she’s come — and how it all led to a marriage that makes her feel like the luckiest woman in the world.
In a photo uploaded to Instagram on June 17, the 52-year-old actress shared a photo of herself and her husband, David Woolley, enjoying a quiet evening watching the sunset.
“Every step of my journey led me here,” Brown captioned photos of the couple with their backs to the camera.
“Watching the sunset with my forever love, grateful for every moment that led us to this beautiful beginning. #newlyweds #sunsetview #gratefulheart.”
What a lovely tribute.
Christine and David married in October 2023, about a year and a half after going public with their romance.
A few months after Christine ended her platonic relationship with Kody Brown, they met on a dating app.
Is her relationship with Woolley perfect? No. Could it be messy? Yes, Christine admits. But she’s very, very happy. That much is clear.
In September 2023, the mother of six told People magazine that her now-husband “has the most integrity of anyone I know. He built his business when he was a single dad, so it means everything to him.”
Taking a dig at Kody, Christine added:
“His word is his bond, and that means everything to him. … If he says he’s going to do it, he’ll do it.”
“He’s an extraordinary person, at heart. He’s the best. I feel like I’ve hit a gold mine. I’ve won the lottery with him.”
Christine has previously said she didn’t know life could be so “simple.”
As you might expect, things can get a little complicated when you’re one of four sister wives.
“I had no idea I would find a soul mate. I actually found a soul mate. He’s totally my soul mate, and I didn’t even know it,” Brown previously said:
“I come with a lot of complications, and he loves me — and that’s the best thing.”
What about Wooly?
He has already appeared on Sister Wives and will be a main cast member in Season 19 as well.
“He expresses his emotions openly,” Woolley told Sister Wives reunion host Suki Krishnan of Kody last year, emphasizing:
“A lot. And sometimes you don’t have to do that – but that’s just the way he is. That’s just the way he is, I can’t say anything different.”
Viewers could tell that David was watching his words carefully at that point, making sure No Don’t rock any boat too much. Don’t stir up any controversy.
and yet…
“Would I be? No. It’s just that he wants you to listen to him,” Woolley said, taking a knowing jab at Cody on air.
