In our first look at The Flip Off, an upcoming HGTV reality show that debuts on January 29 and is anchored by Christina Haack, the host opens up to an unlikely partner about a surprising topic:
First husband Tarek El Moussa.
About the end of her third marriage to Josh Hall.
Hack and Hall split in July, but the footage above is the first time we hear Christina actually talk about it.
“We were shocked… I got middle fingers in my face,” she tells Tarek in this sneak peek from People Magazine.
“Things have been bad with Josh for a long time.”
However, the most heartbreaking revelation involves Christina and Tarek’s two children: Taylor, 14, and Brayden, 9.
“The kids literally asked me to leave,” Hack says of the end of her latest marriage. “He told me he was not nice to me. Why would I be around?”
Since filing for divorce, Christina has come out via social media on several occasions and called Josh a gold digger and insecure egocentric maniac.
“I feel like I’m in a tornado all the time and I can’t seem to get out of it,” Christina tells Tarek on his new show.
“Everything since 2016 has been very difficult and terrible. “It had a really bad effect on me.”
In fact, Christina and Tarek’s seven-year marriage ended in December 2016… with a scary incident in which Tarek ran away from his family’s home with a gun and ultimately entered rehab for addiction.
However, these days they are apparently on good terms.
Christina later married British TV host Ant Anstead in 2018 and gave birth to a son, Hudson, now 5, before breaking up in September 2020.
He exchanged vows with Hall in a courthouse ceremony in October 2021, and the couple separated in July 2024.
From what we can glean, the former lovers continue to battle in court over their divorce.
However, thankfully she and Tarek have found common ground.
In January, Tarek told People that his relationship with Christina is “better than ever since their split.”
And then in this new preview, citing her own history, Christina tells Tarek:
“I’m really sorry about that too. I really am. I just want you to know.”
Becoming a little emotional, Tarek tells his ex-wife:
“I understand that feeling of being a little lost. And I admit that I am a big part, if not all, of it.”
