Christina Applegate Misses Critical MS Symptoms Filming for Netflix


Christina Applegate revealed her MS diagnosis in 2021.

She has since opened up, using her platform to get the facts about the devastating autoimmune disease.

However, even before her diagnosis, there were warning signs.

But she missed those signals during filming. At first his symptoms appeared to be routine fatigue due to the grueling hours required to produce television.

Christina Applegate missed the early warning signs

Speaking on the Wednesday, December 11 edition of messy podcast, Christina Applegate tells co-host Jamie-Lynn Sigler and guest Liz Feldman how she fell in love on the latter’s set dead to me This should have been a warning.

It Wasn’t Late – It Was MS

Feldman told Applegate, “I remember you lost your balance several times when we were shooting the pilot.”

“It was very hard to figure out,” she explained, “because, you know, I remember one time, it was very late at night.”

Feldman elaborated: “We were shooting for probably 14 or 15 hours… It seemed completely reasonable that someone would collapse.” Yes, filming – especially for television – can involve truly brutal hours.

“It was MS,” Christina Applegate admitted then. Nevertheless, she continued working on the Netflix series until the third season – by which time she had received her diagnosis.

Feldman described, “I could just sense A, that she was scared, and B, that something was wrong… that something in her body wasn’t working the way it wanted.” As series creator, she was unsure what to do.

“There’s no handbook for it,” he admitted. “I can’t compare it to anything I’ve ever experienced with a person before.” So, she “just always tried to put in.” [Christina Applegate’s] Health is foremost on my mind” as he filmed.

The Netflix series wasn’t as important as Christina Applegate and her health

Applegate praised how Feldman and the show’s crew made every effort to accommodate her. There came a time when production was halted for a week until he recovered.

Applegate expressed, “This wouldn’t happen anywhere else, so my gratitude to you guys for being human – because you should be human and love other humans – is amazing.”

She concluded: “I can’t even tell you… this is not a normal reaction.” But it really should be.
