However, even before her diagnosis, there were warning signs.
But she missed those signals during filming. At first his symptoms appeared to be routine fatigue due to the grueling hours required to produce television.

Feldman told Applegate, “I remember you lost your balance several times when we were shooting the pilot.”

Feldman elaborated: “We were shooting for probably 14 or 15 hours… It seemed completely reasonable that someone would collapse.” Yes, filming – especially for television – can involve truly brutal hours.
“It was MS,” Christina Applegate admitted then. Nevertheless, she continued working on the Netflix series until the third season – by which time she had received her diagnosis.
Feldman described, “I could just sense A, that she was scared, and B, that something was wrong… that something in her body wasn’t working the way it wanted.” As series creator, she was unsure what to do.

Applegate praised how Feldman and the show’s crew made every effort to accommodate her. There came a time when production was halted for a week until he recovered.

She concluded: “I can’t even tell you… this is not a normal reaction.” But it really should be.
