“But,” the insider lamented, “she was swamped with work.”
If reports of a feud between them are true, this could be a long-term problem. At the end of August, Underwood will pick up where she left off with her Vegas residency. If Fisher feels she is second rate, Carrie Fisher’s divorce could be looming on the horizon.
But Carrie Underwood won’t be abandoning her family. Mike Fisher and their sons Isaiah, 9, and Jacob, 5, are set to join her in the city.
“Mike will go with her, but more as a child caretaker than a lover,” the insider said. “He wants to spend some time alone with his wife but isn’t getting much of a chance to do so.”
According to the insider: “She always promises to make more time for him, but in no time at all she starts thinking about work or the kids again, and Mike feels like he’s stuck in last place.”
He’s reportedly ‘jealous’ of her success

But then again, that was two years ago and although the rumors still persist, they haven’t split yet.
However, Carrie Underwood’s upcoming career move – replacing Katy Perry American Idol (which seems to be part of a growing trend of letting country music dominate these singing competitions) – could push her even further away from home.
