Zach Shallcross faced every Bachelor star’s biggest nightmare on Monday night.
Yes, Season 27 headed to the Bahamas with its remaining suitors, but the trip wasn’t exactly paradise for Shellcross and her ladies… especially not for first rose recipient Greer Blitzer.
She expressed concern that her initial relationship with Zach had already faded, calling it “a fire that burned out quickly” in an on-camera interview.
The 24-year-old also broke down in tears when the group learned that Katherine got their first one-on-one date of the episode.
After the two share a few kisses and some personal stories about their parenting, Zach and Kat make out under a bunch of fireworks.
Zach later said in a confession, “What really stood out to me was how comfortable Kat was sharing who she is, but what she wants and still being herself and having fun.”
That’s what I see. Sometimes too good to be true is really true.
From there, we cut to a beach party-themed group date with Eli, Katy, Ariel, Davia, Genevieve, Anastasia, Kelly, Mercedes, Charity, Gabby, Jess, and Greer.
At one point, Kylie tells Zach that she overheard Anastasia telling Charity how many Instagram followers she would gain by appearing on the show.
Enter the aforementioned bachelorette nightmare and she’s here for Sirens for the wrong reasons.
“That freaks the f—ck out of me, honestly,” Shallcross said.
“It’s something I don’t stand for.
“I’m terrified that I’ll end up with someone who was here for the wrong reasons… not for loving me and the future, but really for the fame.”
Zach went ahead and confronted Anastasia about these slanderous claims, prompting her to say that she “connects” with Zach and adding to the allegations:
“I literally told the girls about the brands I work with and I told them I would add them.”
The 26-year-old Stuff Muffins responded by saying that the allegation “didn’t come out of thin air” and that he “didn’t want to be the fool on the end of it.”
Then… he went on to think about what he had heard about Anastasia and her motives.
After a solo date with Brooklyn that involved driving an ATV and opening up to Brooklyn about an abusive ex, Zack gave this boyfriend a rose.
At the cocktail party before the rose ceremony, Zach takes the opportunity to tell Anastasia how he feels.
“It’s not easy for me to spread misinformation about myself,” she said, failing to convince Zack that she was there. Correct Cause
So they sent him home.
In the end, Shallcross puts Charity, Katy, Gabby, Jess, Mercedes, Ellie and Greer around – and then ends the night by saying they will all go to London next.
