But there are still Duggar fans who obsess over every moment of the footage the girls show. And many of them couldn’t resist picking out a quirky detail in Anna Duggar’s dress.

This is a Major Marriage Fake, and Jana Needs to Know It
Most of the time, when we talk about the Duggars and their “rules” regarding clothing, it’s about cult rules. They are rooted in misogyny, bigotry and oppression of the human spirit.
This is not that thing. Wearing white at a wedding without the request of the people being married is a major social violation. In fact, Martha Stewart goes so far as to say that silver, light blue, and cream dresses are too close to white to wear as a wedding guest. And he is right.
The Internet is full of anecdotes about the groom’s former or hostile sister or (worst of all) mother who deliberately wears white or off-white to hide the bride. This is horrifying. If the bride is wearing a white dress, wear something else basically.
Just to be clear, we are well aware that Anna Duggar’s life is not going as she thought it would. One might wonder if she can’t afford a dress.
But Anna has attended many weddings. She’s worn a variety of colors – and as far as we know, has never worn a white dress as a wedding guest.
It’s conceivable that Anna could have sold her other dresses and had no other options for Jana Duggar’s wedding. But this does not seem possible.

Not everyone agrees that Anna Duggar had any kind of animosity toward Jana for wearing the white dress. After all, it’s just a costume.
But for those who believe it was a deliberate insult, a motive comes to mind: passion.
