Abby Lee Miller: I almost died from sepsis this summer!

Abby Lee Miller has a harrowing health story to tell.

Former Dance Moms host Miller had to hold back tears during an interview with The Daily Mail this weekend when she explained what happened to her in the United Kingdom over the summer.

“I was at the end of my life [Abby Lee Spills the Tea] “During my tour … I began having trouble with my catheter,” Miller told the outlet.

“It just needed to be replaced. Every month I have to get it replaced.”

As you may recall, Miller was diagnosed with Burkitt lymphoma, an aggressive form of non-Hodgkin lymphoma, in 2018; she has been using a wheelchair ever since.

In the new featurette, the reality star said that even though she was traveling with a nurse for her tour, she “didn’t feel comfortable” changing the catheter in the room they were in.

Miller added, “I don’t know why, people do it all the time.”

“I waited for a day, which was a mistake. Then I started having pain in my back and kidneys. I was screaming in pain.”

Oh, huh?!?

Miller’s deputies immediately called paramedics, who then rushed him to a local hospital.

“With the amazing free healthcare there… I was lying in the emergency room for five to five-and-a-half hours waiting for someone to change the catheter,” she claimed. “I became [septic]And it went into my kidney.”

Miller says he tried to emphasize that he just needed to have his catheter changed.

But then she found herself hooked up to hospital machines with multiple IVs in her arms and neck… and then she was taken to “another department” for a sonogram, which set off some major alarm bells.

Miller spent four days in the ICU before she was diagnosed with a UTI, which led to sepsis.

“My blood sugar was dropping. … Women need to be very careful because a UTI can cause a lot of harm. It can do a lot of different things,” she told the Daily Mail.

“It was very serious. … If I had changed the catheter the night before, none of this would have happened.”

In the end, Miller made a full recovery and told the publication that she was even able to spend time with a “top television station” during her stay in the hospital.

Miller was sentenced to one year and one day in prison after pleading guilty to fraud in May 2017.

Following his release, several of his former students from the Abby Lee Dance Company — including Maddie Ziegler and Chloe Lukasiak — decided to distance themselves from the controversial instructor.

She also wasn’t invited to the Dance Moms reunion this year.

“I feel like I have a lot more to do. … I have a lot more to choreograph. I have a lot more kids to teach,” she told the Daily Mail about future plans. “My social awareness about sitting on the chair has increased a lot.”
