Caitlin Bristowe appeared on the Trading Secrets podcast last week.
And while the former Bachelorette lead and former Bachelor Nation host touched on a number of topics during the interview — including talking to fiancé Jason Tartick — most focused on since the episode aired One Subject:
Wealth.
Between season 19 of The Bachelor, on which she was a suitor, and season 11 of The Bachelorette in 2015, Bristowe said she only earned $1,500 for her various roles on ABC.

“I think they offered me $40,000. You think I’ll be like ‘JACKPOT! Sign me up!'” Caitlin explained on air.
However, Bristowe did not accept the offer as she was advised to hire an entertainment lawyer, which she did with the help of her stepfather.
“She changed a lot and negotiated my contract for me in a big way,” continued Caitlin.
“One of the executive producers said to me, ‘You have an entertainment lawyer, and you’re asking for this amount? I’m sorry.
Bristowe, who was up against Britt Nilsson for being The Bachelorette, stood her ground though.
“I thought it was about love for you,” she claimed the producer told her during contract discussions, to which she originally replied:
“‘F-ck off! It’s about love and money, okay? They just run side by side for me.'”
Bristowe has been rather critical of the executives since being replaced as co-host of the franchise by Jesse Palmer.
She recently revealed how she felt pressured into sleeping with Nick Viall.
However, going back eight years?
She says she told the producers that she would only be The Bachelorette if they paid her as much as they paid Season 19 Bachelor Chris Soules.
Bristowe slammed Chris Harrison in February for ghostwriting her after he left and Tayshia Adams was brought in as temporary hosts.
She dated Shawn Booth for three years after winning her season of The Bachelorette, but then the couple split in 2018.
“After three incredible years, we have decided to go our separate ways,” Ax said at the time.
“This difficult decision comes after thoughtful, respectful consideration.”
Meanwhile, fast forward to May 2021, and Bristowe and Tartick have announced their engagement.
“It was everything I could have asked for,” Caitlin told Entertainment Tonight then about the offer.
“The words that came out of his mouth were so beautiful. We have never locked eyes like this in our lives.
“We were holding hands, very intense, and I was listening to everything he said, but still passed out.”
