There are several subplots in the ongoing drama of the Tom Sandoval-Raquel Lewis affair.
In fact, it seems like just about everyone who’s ever appeared vanderpump rules Involved in scam in one way or the other.
Of course, there are some former actors who are wobbling their way into the conversation in hopes of regaining some lost relevance.
We’re talking, of course, about Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright, both of whom seem absolutely thrilled that their former partners are going through hell.
As you probably remember, Jax and Brittany were fired vanderpump Bad running amid the scandal that also ended the careers of Stassi Schroeder and Kristen Doute.
As narcissistic sociopaths, both Jax and Kristen would have made for good reality TV, but we think most VPR viewers were happy to see them back in obscurity.
But Jax sees Scandoval as an opportunity to step into the spotlight and do what he does best – talk hypocritical trash.
And you better believe he’s taking advantage of this opportunity to make someone else the bad guy.
Jax and Brittany are suddenly everywhere after years away from the reality TV game, essentially making a career out of talking about Sandoval.
(Don’t get us wrong, Sandoval is bad – but Jax is worse still.)
First, Taylor appeared watch live what happenswhere Jacques essentially blames Tom for all of society’s ills.
Now, they’re enjoying a short stint on something see with,
It is a peacetime feature that enables fans to watch their favorite reality shows with commentary from the stars (or former stars in this case).
I like it 90 Day Fiancé: Pillow TalkExcept that people actually watch that show, and no one subscribes to Peacock.
Anyway, within minutes of his first appearance on this weird app feature, Jax blamed Sandoval for Tom Schwartz and Katie Maloney’s divorce.
Taylor told Cartwright, “I think it had a lot to do with why they got divorced.”
“I think they would still be together if it weren’t for Sandoval.”
That’s, um… quite a reach, which is probably why Jax makes no effort to justify the allegation.
She agrees with Katie that Sandoval is a good influence on Schwartz – which is clearly true – but it’s one thing to make that observation and another to blame a divorce entirely on a third party.
Jacques said, “As much as Katie drives me crazy, I see her point of view.”
“Oh, yeah,” Cartwright said, offering one of his signature trenchant insights.
So yeah, Jax and Brittany have always sucked, but now they’ve also become boring and thirsty for fame.
Here’s hoping Andy Cohen doesn’t succumb to this couple’s desperate attempts to get back on Bravo.
