We’ve heard from Tammy Slaton several times since she shocked the reality television universe in November.
The 1000-pound Sister star went on to marry a man at the time named Caleb Willingham just months after meeting him in rehab.
“It’s the best thing that ever happened to me,” Tammy previously told E! The news of the marriage with Willingham had come just two months earlier.
“God really blessed me.”
Tammy is candid about her decision and future prospects.
But how do his famous siblings and co-stars feel?
Yes, Amy Slaton attended Tammy’s wedding ceremony — which took place in the parking lot of the above facility — but does she condone a ceremony that felt like an impromptu ceremony?
It certainly seems that way now.
“When she first told me she was dating Caleb, I was like, ‘That’s cool.'” Amy just told E! News this week, adding:
“Maybe they can team up and inspire each other in a way that we can’t inspire them as a family because they’re in similar situations.”
This is true:
Tammy and Caleb can relate to each other’s situations. Both have vowed to drop hundreds of pounds in recent years, yet both were unsuccessful in doing so.
As loyal fans know at this point, Tammy had gastric bypass surgery last year and has remained in a rehab facility ever since.
It’s unclear when she’ll be checked out, but photos of Tammy over the past few weeks make it clear she’s a whole new woman.
And now she has a male assistant.
“I’m so happy to have another brother!” Amy added in E!.
Tammy is also very happy at the moment.
“I haven’t felt this good in a long time,” she said recently.
“I’ve got so much more energy. I’m living life to the fullest.
On the latest episode of 1000-Lb Sisters, which was filmed several months ago, Tammy hit the required weight goal to qualify for the procedure that changed her life.
“When I got on the scale and saw that the scale was at 534.7, I held my breath for a second,” Tammy excitedly told the audience.
“I’m like 14 pounds under my goal weight. From over 700, that’s a big drop …
“I did that!”
“I feel thrilled, proud, excited – just all the feelings. I proved everyone wrong. Everyone who doubted me, finally I got mine! My so-and-so moment!
