Unfortunately, the newlyweds had to part. Due to various reasons, Krish leaves to go home.
It was expected that this would only take a few weeks. Unfortunately, the previews make it look like it goes on for way too long.
There was clearly trouble between the wives as well. Will Chris Sometimes Really return to Colombia?
On Sunday, April 9’s episode, we saw Chris Foster and Jamie Noguera update viewers on their new life together.
Chris shared that his bank had frozen his account. Obviously, when one’s money suddenly starts paying for lots of little things in another country, it sounds like identity theft. In this case, it was just an international move.
Meanwhile, this financial speed bump had reminded them both to consider their future. They have options, so they don’t have to apply for random jobs if they don’t want to. And they don’t.
His idea is for a food truck. One that would fuse American and Venezuelan food for a Colombian clientele.
Naturally, a significant portion of their overhead costs will be the truck itself.
He learned that a basic truck cost about $10,000. And that truck is basically just a mobile kitchen.
Not all food trucks are alike.
They find a zombie apocalypse motif food truck… that used to be an ordinary school bus.
Instead of just a mobile kitchen, this flamboyant vehicle also included booths for indoor seating. Seriously, a restaurant on wheels. Or, at least, a small diner.
It will cost twice as much, $20,000. And that’s before redecorating costs, buying and installing new kitchen equipment, and more.
Naturally, Chris and Jamie had plenty to discuss.
Part of it was just financial decisions. Other parts were more basic, like figuring out their actual menu. And then there are food suppliers and more.
Unfortunately, an exciting (but potentially disastrous – the restaurant business is not a “safe bet”) such a venture wasn’t the only thing on his mind.
Krish needed to work with his bank in person. (If your bank thinks someone is using your money, a text of “No, everything’s great, I swear” probably isn’t enough – what if you’re a mortgagor?)
She also needed to get refills of her narcolepsy medication. And there were other things too, like Krish had to get his property in order.
So, Kris moved back home to rural Alabama.
She didn’t want to, but she hoped that she could fix everything within two weeks.
Krish and Jamie bid a tearful goodbye, and look forward to meeting again.
However, from the preview teaser for Season 4, Episode 11, it seemed Kris and Jamie would be spending more time apart.
A tearful video shows Jamie accusing Krish of “never answering” her calls. She says it is the first time that she has “looked at him” in a month.
While Krish says he is busy working to support them both, it is clear that there is more at play than just an extended separation. There are some real hurt feelings. Jamie feels abandoned, and Chris may feel upset.
Naturally, some viewers wonder if this is how things end for these two. Will Chris ever return to Colombia?
well yes. There are strong indications on social media that Kris will return to Colombia, but she is also dividing her time between Colombia and Alabama. (He recently recovered his father’s motorcycle… more than a year after it was stolen)
And the preview trailer before the start of this season showed scenes of Krish and Jamie that we haven’t seen yet. Obviously, it’s almost certainly coming to the fore. So yeah, it’s safe to say that Chris returns to Colombia. Whether or not things are “good” when she does… it’s up in the air.
