It appears that Maci Bookout has something to say about the latest saga involving her ex-boyfriend.
As Teen Mom fans know by now, Ryan Edwards was arrested on April 7th… for the third time in two months.
In this latest disturbing case, Edwards was charged with DUI and possession of a controlled substance… but only after police found him unconscious and unresponsive inside his running truck.
Edwards remains behind bars in Tennessee as we write this.
Edwards became a small screen fan while she was dating Bookout in 2009 on the MTV reality show 16 and Pregnant.
The former lovers share 14-year-old son Bentley, though Edwards has no contact with the child these days.
On Monday, Bookout shared the above photo of herself and Bentley on Instagram, giving her associated caption:
“That’s all I know so far.”
Bookout never named Edwards, but he continued:
“I wish someone had told me that this darkness comes and goes. People will pretend, but my son, nobody knows.
“And even I can’t teach you to fly, but I can show you how to live like your life is at stake.”
We’re not sure where Macy took these dark words from, but it’s not hard to imagine that they were written in response to the serious personal and legal trouble his former partner finds himself in.
According to a legal affidavit, Edwards overdosed on some type of drug the week before his arrest.
“Ryan Edwards was removed from the vehicle and placed in [an ambulance]where he received Narcan and eventually regained consciousness,” read the affidavit.
“A quick search by Ryan Edwards by EMS turned up a small bag of what appeared to be a crystal-type substance and a second small bag of what appeared to be a blue powder.
“Also in the pocket was a paper receipt that had been wrapped up.”
After being taken to the hospital, Edwards reportedly refused to take a blood test and told officers that he “sniffed a powder before getting up in the back of the ambulance.”
The reality star is in the midst of divorce proceedings after Mackenzie Standifer, the mother of his two youngest children, filed papers in March.
He did this in the wake of Edwards being arrested for following him and allegedly threatening his life.
“If you guys have never seen spineless sh-t this is the one,” Ryan wrote alongside topless photos of his estranged spouse two months ago.
“They sleep your money who sees them. But he must have a wife [sic], God what a joke. It’s really sad.”
On 1 March, Edwards was also arrested for stalking after breaching the terms of a protective order and contacting Mackenzie via text message.
She filed for divorce shortly after and was granted a restraining order and temporary custody of their son, Jagger, 4, and daughter, Stella, 3.
Mackenzie also claimed to police in February that her husband had once thrown her down a hallway, pinned her by the neck against a wall and held a pocket knife to her back as if to “kill” her. going to give
A judge last month ordered Edwards to wear a GPS monitor and refrain from posting about Mackenzie on social media, while also serving a suspended sentence of 11 months and 29 days.
