Here’s How Much Was Lost To Crypto Hacks And Exploits In Q1 2023 By Cointelegraph

Hackers were able to gain access to more than $320 million in the first quarter of 2023 alone, according to on-chain data consolidated by blockchain security firm CertiK in its quarterly report.

Losses were significantly lower than in the first and fourth quarters of 2022, when hackers made off with around $1.3 billion and $950 million, respectively. According to CertiK, the low amount of losses may be related to events occurring off-chain that had an impact on the crypto industry as a whole, such as the problems with silvergate bank and the detached from (USDC) at the height of the Silicon Valley bank collapse.
