Stage and screen legend Joan Plowright has died.
She was 95 years old.
News of Plowright’s death comes courtesy of a statement from his family.

The statement revealed that Joan died at a retirement home for actors in southern England. When she breathed her last she was surrounded by her loved ones.
The family said (via ABC News), “She enjoyed a long and illustrious career spanning seven decades in theater, film and TV, until blindness forced her to retire.”
“We are very proud of what Joan did and what a lovely and deeply inclusive person she was.”
No cause of death was revealed, but it appears the demise was not unexpected.

Over the course of his long, illustrious career, Plowright won two Golden Globes, a Tony, and was nominated for an Academy Award, an Emmy, and two BAFTA Awards.
She was the second of four actresses to win two Golden Globes in the same year.
