Kate Middleton says she is ‘in remission’ from cancer a year after starting treatment


Great news from the UK today, as Kate Middleton has revealed that she has made a full recovery from cancer.

The news comes a year after Kate stepped back from public life, a move that sparked widespread speculation about her well-being.

In September, Kate announced that she had completed chemotherapy, but Prince William said that she “still has a long way to go” in her recovery.

a day of celebration

Earlier today, Kate made a surprise visit to the hospital where she was given chemotherapy.

He met with doctors and offered support to patients who are currently fighting cancer.

Shortly thereafter, Kate announced that she and William had become patrons of the Royal Marsden Hospital in London.

This was followed by another happy announcement, when Kate shared her latest health update on Instagram.

“I wanted to take this opportunity to thank The Royal Marsden for looking after me so well over the past year,” the Princess of Wales wrote.

She added, “I thank everyone from the bottom of my heart who silently walked with William and me as we navigated everything.”

“We couldn’t have asked for anything more. The care and advice we have received throughout my time as a patient has been exceptional.”

Kate’s new role

From there, Kate explained her decision to become the official royal patron of this state-of-the-art facility.

“In my new role as Joint Patron of The Royal Marsden, my hope is that by supporting groundbreaking research and clinical excellence, as well as promoting patient and family well-being, we can save many more lives, And can change the experience of all those affected by cancer,” she wrote.

“It is a relief to be in remission now and I am focused on recovery.

“As anyone who has experienced a cancer diagnosis will know, it takes time to adjust to a new normal. However, I am looking forward to a fulfilling year ahead. There is a lot to look forward to. Thank you everyone for your continued support,” Kate’s message concluded.

Kate has always been a humanitarian, but it seems her work has now taken on a much more personal quality.

When the Princess of Wales meets a young cancer patient, she can now interact with them as a fellow survivor.
