Five intriguing details from the GTA 6 v0.047 mapping project
1) Other areas of the Leonida State
While the first Grand Theft Auto 6 trailer showed us some areas of Vice City and unnamed locations in the Leonida State, the GTA 6 mapping project has good news for fans. The project has mapped out several other locations based on the September 2022 leaks and trailer.
While Vice City will be the main attraction of the upcoming map, the mapping project also showed the following areas:
- Farm
- crocodile keys
- Alligator Creek
- Port Gellhorn
- Lake Leonida
- red hill
- Hank Hill
- Ragweed
- sea view
- WILL BE
- Yorktown
- Bohemia
It is worth noting that there are also many other smaller areas nearby.
2) New Port Gellhorn details
Port Gellhorn is believed to be one of the main locations in Grand Theft Auto 6. While Rockstar Games has yet to officially unveil the area, the GTA 6 mapping project has provided a rough layout.
Port Gellhorn was initially believed to be a flat area towards the northwest corner of the map. However, the GTA 6 v0.047 mapping project showed that it has a partially closed body of water with several important establishments nearby.
The project also indicated that the scene above (image) from the first trailer took place in Port Gellhorn.
3) Locations of leaked clips
The GTA 6 September 2022 leaks included 90 unfinished gameplay clips that gave us very early information about the upcoming game. While the leaks did not include a map, the GTA 6 mapping project was able to mark locations from the leaked clips.
It’s also worth noting that the leaked clips were the first source for developing the upcoming open world.
4) Locations of the first trailer.
Immediately after the release of the first official trailer, the GTA 6 mapping project was able to mark the locations where certain scenes from the video took place. The team was also able to determine where the scene (image) above took place on the map.
Rockstar Games included several scenes from Vice City and some scenes from Port Gellhorn, Flamingo Beach, Gator Keys, and other locations. However, we’ll have to wait for the release of Grand Theft Auto 6 to know for sure.
5) North side of the map
The northern side of the Grand Theft Auto 6 map remains a mystery to fans. According to the GTA 6 mapping project, the Port Gellhorn scene is the northernmost location Rockstar used in the first trailer.
However, over time, the mapping project was able to predict a rough layout of the north side of the map. According to him, the north side has the following locations:
- WILL BE
- Saint Joseph
- sea view
- Yorktown
- Bohemia
However, readers are advised to wait for the official GTA 6 map for accurate details.
