For Rachel Lindsay, her long romantic nightmare is finally over.

Earlier this week, more than a year after filing for divorce from Brian Abasolo, the former Bachelorette lead finally completed the legal process.

Yes friends. Rachel Lindsay is finally single. Officially.

“I’m divorced. Thank you, God,” Lindsay said during the Jan. 10 episode of her Higher Learning podcast. “Give me some freedom music. Some freedom music.

After joking around for a while, reality turned serious… explaining to co-host Van Lathan that actually being free from her marriage is “a very strange feeling.”

“When he finally left the house after living here for seven months after the separation, I thought there was a divorce,” she said on air. “I’ll be honest, there’s a lot I want to say.”

They met on Lindsay’s season of The Bachelorette in 2017, eventually got engaged in the finale and then married in August of 2019.

She then said that she and Abasolo were living “completely different lives” as Abasolo usually worked 12-hour days “alone” while she had “a lot of free time” for her work.

Without giving away specifics about this latest podcast, Lindsay revealed what bothered her most about how Abasolo was behaving after their split.

“On their part, there were some things that were said that were consistent with certain stereotypes that were really hurtful or upsetting to me. …saying things that specifically stereotype me as an angry black woman,” she said, claiming that “a story” emerged in which she “prioritized career over relationships and family.” Gave”.

The former couple’s divorce was finalized on January 7.

According to Us Weekly and other celebrity gossip outlets, Lindsay was ordered to pay Abasolo $13,257 a month in temporary spousal support last July — as well as $20,000 in attorney fees and forensic expert expenses. Was ordered.
