The Duggar family has grown bigger once again.
This time by two.
On January 8, Jedediah Duggar and his wife Katie welcomed twin daughters into the world… almost six months after announcing they were pregnant.
“We are thrilled to share the joyous news of the arrival of our twin daughters, Elsie Kate and Emma Kate!” Jade and Katie said in a statement to People magazine a few hours ago.
As far as some details go, the spouses add:
“Elsie was born at 2:06 p.m. on January 8, 2025, weighing 6 pounds, 14 ounces, and Emma was born at 2:13 p.m., weighing 7 pounds, 2 ounces.
“Both girls are healthy and beautiful, and they have completely captured our hearts.”
The couple later included photos of their girls on Instagram, telling followers simply, “They’re here!!”
Jed and Katie Truett are also parents to a two-year-old son named Oliver and a 19-month-old daughter named Nora Kate.
The youngsters are “so excited” about the siblings, the pair also told People, thus:
“Seeing their enthusiasm and love for their little sisters has been a sweet blessing for us as parents.”
Jade and Katie dated for over a year before marrying in April 2021.
At the time, a representative for the family explained that the ceremony was held “in the presence of family and close friends,” all of whom were very excited for the former reality star and his bride.
“We are so grateful to God for entrusting us with these precious girls,” the pair concluded in a conversation with People late Thursday.
“Our hearts are full, and we are grateful for the outpouring of love and support we have received during this happy time.”
For those trying to keep track, there are More Duggamar on the way.
Jedediah’s twin brother, Jeremiah Duggar, and his wife, Hannah, announced they are expecting their third daughter later this year.
Relatedly, Jinger Duggar Vuolo is also expecting another child with husband Jeremy Vuolo, as she previously revealed to mom Michelle Duggar and her sisters in an unusual way during Jana Duggar’s graduation weekend in October.
“They had a big hot tub,” Jinger told People in October, emphasizing that Jacuzzi use is not recommended during pregnancy and explaining that people around her were surprised that Why wasn’t she going into it?
“They were like, ‘Isn’t it cold? You gonna go in?’ I said, ‘Well, I guess you shouldn’t do this if you’re pregnant, right?’ They were just so surprised. I was able to tell them all at once.
