Investing.com – The Mexican Stock Market closed lower this Wednesday; the declines of the sectors, and drove the indices downward.

The best value of the session was Quálitas Controladora, SAB De CV (BMV:), which rose 2.92%, 4.85 points, to close at 171.20. Meanwhile, Gentera SAB de CV (BMV:) advanced 2.69%, 0.64 points, to close at 24.46, and Grupo electra SAB De CV (BMV:), rose 2.51%, 8.36 points, ending the session at 342.06.

The worst results of the session were alsea SAB De CV (BMV:), which fell 3.05%, 1.37 points, to close at 43.51. Inbursa Financial Group SAB De CV (BMV:) fell 1.64%, 0.72 points, to close at 43.22, and Grupo Banorte (BMV:) fell 1.55% or 2.13 points to 135.68.

Stocks that fell outnumbered those that rose on the Mexican Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.

Gold futures for February delivery were unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 at $2,633.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities, Crude oil futures for delivery in February fell 0.09% or 0.06 to hit $70.10 a barrel, while Brent oil futures for delivery in March rose 1 .24%, 0.90, to $73.22 a barrel.

USD/MXN rose 0.07% to 20.16, while EUR/MXN rose 0.15% to 20.98.

US Dollar Index Futures rose 0.18% to 108.00.
