Alex Rodríguez’s girlfriend, Jaclyn Cordeiro, is very active on social media and shares health and fitness tips through her account. Her latest post addressed a pressing need among women.

Breast cancer is one of the most prevalent types of cancer seen in women. Early detection is one way to beat it. It occurs when breast cells grow uncontrollably, often forming a lump or mass. Risk factors include age, genetics, lifestyle and hormonal factors, although it can develop in people without known risks.

On Wednesday, Cordeiro had her annual breast exam with Cancer Care Ontario in Canada. She posted a selfie right after the test, advising her followers to get regular tests for early detection of the disease.

“The self-care portion of women includes breast examination,” she wrote.

The American Cancer Society recommends that women ages 40 to 44 have the option to begin annual mammograms, while those ages 45 to 54 should have mammograms annually. For women age 55 and older, mammograms can be done every two years.

However, Jaclyn Cordeiro, who runs the 5 AM club, wants her followers to continue with this exercise program, encouraging them to focus on the reasons behind “why” they do it.

“It’s cold here and that doesn’t exactly increase the motivation for those 5am outings. But remember why. Start your day with gratitude; I promise, it will put a little pep in your step. Always stay connected to Your why. Have a great day!” he said in his video.

Jaclyn Cordeiro and Alex Rodríguez have been dating for almost two years, having started their romance in October in California. The following Christmas, A-Rod posted a photo of them with his two daughters, Natasha and Ella. Last summer, Cordeiro and her two daughters joined A-Rod’s family on a vacation to Europe.
