Blake Lively took unprecedented action against her recent co-star Justin Baldoni.
After months of speculation about a feud between the actor and actress — who played the lead role in this year’s film It Ends With Us — Lively filed a lawsuit against Baldoni this week for sexual harassment.
According to documents obtained by TMZ, Lively alleges that Baldoni created a hostile work environment on the set of the aforementioned book adaptation — and later participated in a campaign against her colleagues.
Specifically, the documents claim that Baldoni caused Lively “severe emotional distress” as a result of his behavior… which included “showing Blake nude videos or pictures of women”, as well as references to Baldoni’s past. Discussion of “pornography addiction” or “sexual conquest” was also included. ,
At one point, Lively’s husband, Ryan Reynolds, even attended a meeting between people involved with the film to address these topics, the lawsuit says.
According to TMZ, other topics included “no more mention of the cast and crew’s genitals, no more inquiries about Blake’s weight, and no more mention of Blake’s deceased father.”
(Lively’s father died in 2021.)
Citing the lawsuit, TMZ reported that the meeting quoted above also emphasized that “BL did not add sex scenes, oral sex or on-camera climaxes outside the scope of the script approved by BL at the time the project was signed.” Will go.”
As previously reported, there were alleged disagreements over the final cut of It End’s With Us (on which Lively served as producer), as well as controversy over how the film would be marketed.
Lively claims that Baldoni and others in his camp were engaged in a “social manipulation” campaign to “destroy” Lively’s reputation.
The lawsuit also includes text messages from Baldoni’s publicist to a studio publicist, stating that Baldoni “wanted to feel [Ms. Lively] Can be buried, and “we cannot write we will destroy it.”
Baldoni and Lively never appeared together on the red carpet during the promotion of It End’s With Us and never sat down for a joint interview.
Baldoni’s attorney, Brian Friedman, hit back at Lively’s lawsuit, claiming it is an attempt to “fix her negative reputation” and calling it “false, defamatory and intentionally slanderous with the intent to hurt the public.” Is.”
Ahead of the film’s release, Baldoni told Variety – when asked about It Starts with Us, a possible sequel to the film based on the book of the same title – that he and the production studio were “thinking so far ahead.” Haven’t even started.” “I’m trying to stay in the present as much as I can.”
However, we will now go ahead and make the following non-bold prediction:
