Eli Leuber has broken his silence.
On December 14, the Vanderpump Rules star posted a statement on her Instagram Stories, thanking followers for their support and letting them know how she’s doing…
…in the wake of boyfriend James Kennedy being arrested on domestic violence charges.
“Thank you to everyone who has shown love and support and reached out to me,” Leuber wrote in her account.
“I am fine and taking the time I need right now. I deeply appreciate all kindness and respect for my privacy during this time.
Earlier, a spokesperson for the Burbank Police Department confirmed that police were called to Kennedy’s Los Angeles home on Tuesday, December 10, “regarding an argument between a male and a female.”
It has since been widely believed that the woman at the center of this alleged incident was Ellie Leuber.
To be clear, Authorities did not say whether the woman involved was Leuber.,
However, they said their investigation revealed it was a domestic incident that led to the [Kennedy’s] Arrest.”
The DJ was “charged with misdemeanor domestic violence and later released on bail pending review of formal charges by the Burbank City Attorney’s Office.”
Insiders say Kennedy is accused of groping a woman in the middle of some kind of argument.
According to TMZ, officers responding to the scene did not find any injuries on the victim, while Kennedy has been released after posting $20,000 bail.
He and Leuber began dating in 2022, shortly after Leuber joined Vanderpump Rules as a cast member.
Earlier this year, Leuber denied speculation that Kennedy had physically abused her during their relationship, most notably inside a vehicle after the MTV Movie Awards two years ago.
“That never happened. There was no physical altercation,” Leuber told Scheana Shay on her podcast in February.
Meanwhile, Kristen Doute dated Kennedy from 2013 to 2015.
She shared a text detailing the incident on her Instagram Stories on Dec. 12… and then simply wrote, “Finally.”
For their part, Kennedy’s lawyers released a statement last Friday that reads as follows
We are in the process of conducting our own investigation into the allegations made against James by the Burbank Police Department.
We understand that no injuries occurred and we are hopeful that, after careful review, city attorneys will decide not to file formal charges.
