Hugh Jackman is generally considered to be the coolest man in Hollywood.
But a new report aims to knock the actor down a few (dozen) pegs.
Simply put, according to Us Weekly, Jackman cheated on ex-wife Deborra-Lee Furness with actress Sutton Foster.
In September 2023, Jackman and Furness announced their breakup after 27 years as husband and wife.
“We have been blessed to have been together for nearly 3 decades as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage,” they said in a statement at the time. “Our journey is now changing and we have decided to part ways to pursue our personal growth.”
This may sound like words from spouses who ended things on good terms, but the aforementioned tabloid now says that the romance between Jackman and Foster began while co-starring together on Broadway.
In 2022. Earlier the actor had separated from his wife.
A source at Foster’s says, “Sutton and Hugh’s relationship led to Hugh and Deb’s divorce.”
“A lot of people on Broadway knew, and we kept it quiet because they’re both very nice and great people. Everyone respected his privacy. But there were affairs and overlap.
According to the insider, Jackman and Foster are still going strong and “really happy now.”
Neither Jackman nor Foster have commented on their apparent relationship.
However, while she was appearing opposite the star in The Music Man, Foster said during an appearance on Jackman’s Live with Kelly and Ryan:
“This is a wonderful thing. We just talk and go about our day. That’s been the best part of the whole thing, that I’ve made this amazing new friend.
During rehearsals, the two frequently posted photos and videos on Instagram, praising each other in the process.
“This show is nothing without you,” Jackman wrote alongside a clip of him practicing the dance.
On opening night, Foster shared photos of herself and Jackman on the red carpet with the caption: “This man. It’s an honor to be with you. You. Are. The. Best.”
Furness didn’t suspect anything, Us Weekly writes, even after watching her then-husband and Foster kiss onstage night after night.
